The Gold Coast Music Awards stimulates interest in our city as a live music destination while celebrating the depth and diversity of talent found here.
First held in 2015, with sell-out attendance and more than 30,000 popular votes for the People’s Choice Awards, organisers work hard to ensure nominees, finalists and winners receive significant opportunities as a result of their involvement.
For 2017 we’ve announced a bangin’ new partnership with Surfers Paradise Alliance that will see the Gold Coast Music Awards move to the beach at Surfers Paradise for three years. The 2017 awards will be held on 27 April.
Surfers Paradise has a rich music history. It’s impossible to ignore the role it plays in the city’s culture.
Through the initial three-year partnership with Surfers Paradise Alliance, the Awards will utilise the infrastructure installed for Surfers Paradise LIVE on the night before the major festival takes place.
