2017 Video of the Year – The Black Swamp, Common Crows

The video for Common Crows was shot within Currumbin Valley on a budget of $300 with a two-man crew consisting of the director and cinematographer in just one day. The term Common Crows refers to the “uniform” of the heavy music community, who are more often than not seen in black band shirts. Writer/director Jayden Stevens decided to explore this idea of ‘place association’ through the dystopian lens of two men on a journey returning to a long lost home.
